Shakib-Liton was leading the way before the lunch break. However, after the break, Bangladesh lost all the wickets one by one. Bangladesh were all out for 189 runs. As a result, the target of Lankans in Dhaka Test stood at 29 runs.

After the lunch break, Fernando returned Lytton first. After that Bangladesh lost Shakib, Mosaddeq, Taizul and Khaled one by one and were all out for 189 runs.
