Liton became the owner of 2,000 runs in the Test format by taking 41 individual runs in the second innings of the Mirpur Test. He achieved this feat as the third fastest batsman in Bangladesh.

In his nearly seven-year career, Liton batted in 57 innings of 33 Tests and scored 2,000 runs. Where there are 12 half-centuries with three centuries. He has created the possibility of a big innings even today.

Bangladesh Test team captain Mominul Haque and ODI captain Tamim Iqbal scored 2,000 runs in less innings for Liton than Bangladesh. The current Test captain has scored 2,000 runs in 48 innings, while Tamim has taken 53 innings. The world record for 2,000 runs in just 22 innings is held by Sir Don Bradman.

All in all, Liton has entered the club of 2,000 Test runs as the eighth batsman of Bangladesh. Earlier, Habibul Bashar, Mohammad Ashraful, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Muminul Haque and Mahmudullah Riyad had signed up for the two Hazari clubs. 

At the moment, Bangladesh took the lead with 6 runs at noon break. Where Bangladesh collected 149 runs for 5 wickets. Liton is unbeaten at the crease with 47 runs, and his partner Shakib with 52 runs.
